Meet The Staff

Center Director    


Bonnie Neumann
  Bonnie has over 30 years of experience teaching elementary school in Navarro Independent School District.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with post –graduate work in Early Childhood Education from Texas State University.   Bonnie grew up in Geronimo and is a lifelong member of Friedens Church.  Bonnie works Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Suzanne Schwarzlose
  Suzanne graduated from Seguin High School, then immediately began her career in child care by working in Seguin Independent School District as a childcare provider and instructional aide.  More recently Suzanne was an aide in the Special Education department of Navarro ISD.  She holds her Child Development Associate credential and has been a director at another childcare setting.  Suzanne also holds a Director Credential.  Suzanne has been a member of Friedens Church for 15 years and is very active in 4H, local sports, Navarro school activities and community events.  Suzanne works Monday through  Friday

Kalina Hesskew (18 months -2 years)
 

Kalina grew up in east Texas and received her Child Development Credential from Palo Alto College in 2002; she completed her Childcare Professional Administrator Credential in 2005 and again in 2010. She has Medical billing and coding training from TLU in Seguin.  Kalina has 13 years of experience working in other local day care settings as a teacher and as a director.  Kalina teaches the 2 year old classroom Monday through Friday.
The classroom theme in Ms. Kalina’s room is primary colors.  Her classroom is set up into 4 learning zones:  Dramatic Play Zone, Quiet Zone, Messy Zone and Gross Motor Zone.

There is a variety of hands on activities and new toys and games are introduced regularly


Erin Zimmer (2yrs-3yrs)
 

Erin attended high school and college in California.  She has experience in bookkeeping and accounting and has worked in other childcare settings.  Erin teaches the Tots 2’s Classroom Monday through Thursday.  Erin’s classroom is a Frog Theme.  The focus is on toilet training, eating and drinking independently, language development and manners.

Holly’s classroom has a jungle theme.  It invites creativity and learning through play and exploration.  The curriculum focus is on letter and sound recognition, pre-reading and early math skills.

Stacie Evans
 

Stacie grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and has been working in child care for over 20 years.  She has been in the Seguin area for 8 years and attended Texas Lutheran University where she received training in medical coding/billing.  She holds her Director Credential, Childcare Professional Administrator Credential and is a Registered Home Childcare Provider.
Stacie’s classroom theme is fish and the ocean.  The curriculum focus is on independence in toileting and taking care of their personal items.  Letter and sound recognition is introduced along with counting and rhyming.

     
Pre-Kindergarten    
     


Sally Evans
 

Sally taught kindergarten for over 30 years in the Navarro Independent School District and also elementary school in Victoria ISD.  She holds a degree in Elementary Education with post-graduate work in Early Childhood from Texas State University.  Sally teaches one of the Pre-K classrooms mornings Monday through Thursday.

Sally’s classroom is a place for all four year old children.  We read and write, sort and count.  We explore, we create, we discover we investigate…we have fun!


Holly Olsen
 

Holly holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She has Early Childhood and English as Second Language endorsements.  She has 11 years of experience in day care and elementary public schools.

Holly’s classroom theme is a jungle.  It invites creativity and learning through play and exploration.  The curriculum focus is on letter/ sound recognition, sound blending to form words, sorting, counting and many other pre-reading and pre-math skills.

Cameron Cutrone

 

Cameron (“Coach C”) grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is currently a senior at Texas State University in San Marcos.  Cameron has had extensive training and certification in Behavioral Intervention. 

Cameron’s After-School classroom is structured to promote study and homework time along with games, time to visit with friends and recreation.
