Bonnie has over 30 years experience teaching elementary school in the Navarro school district. Her degree is in Elementary Education with postgraduate work in Early Childhood Education. Bonnie grew up in Geronimo and is a lifelong member of Friedens Church. Bonnie teaches Spanish and German to the Pre-K class and is in charge of registration and tuition payments (among many other duties). She is the director on duty all day on Monday and Wednesday. She also teaches Spanish and German vocabulary to the Pre-School class.
Barbara Pape
Barbara has over 18 years experience working with children in public schools and private residential facilities. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Speech and Language Pathology and she received a Master’s of Education with an emphasis on child development and learning theory. Barbara has been a member of Friedens since 1993. Marketing and Public Relations are Barbara’s focus and she is the director on duty on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Teachers
Lead Teacher Sally Evans
.Sally has over 30 years experience teaching kindergarten and Navarro and Victoria school districts. Her degree is in Elementary Education with postgraduate work in Early Childhood Education. Sally was raised in the Fentress community. Sally is the lead teacher for the Pre-K program and teaches mornings Monday through Thursday.
Suzanne Schwarzlose
Suzanne graduated from Seguin High School, then immediately began her career in childcare by working in the Seguin ISD as a childcare provider and instructional aide. More recently Suzanne was an instructional aide in the Special Education department of Navarro ISD. She holds her Child Development Associate credential and has been credentialed as a director. Suzanne has been a member of Friedens for 15 years. She teaches the toddlers from age 18 months to 3 years and works Monday through Friday.
Dana Murray
Dana worked in the accounting department of Texas State University for 29 years in the Accounting Department, she has taught Sunday School for many years and in worked in day care. Dana grew up in New Braunfels and now lives in Martindale. She is a teacher that works with every classroom as needed and helps in many capacities. Her current schedule is Tuesday, Thursday and Friday all day.
